Analysis of Alexie

In Sherman Alexie's essay his tone is very serious and sarcastic. He explains every American will experience at least 15 minutes of Sacajawea life in Sacajawea Land. Everyone sometime or another will be a walking contradiction. Alexie hates how America is such a contradiction. This country has produced many opposites, America gave to small pox, as well as a vaccine for small pox. The Declaration of Independence to a law that does not let non-Americans into the country. In the end he realizes he himself is a contradiction and we are all Sacajawea.
